Half Moon Island Antarctica: The Final Landing

Day 10 – Jan 7th

It is a small island located in McFarlane Strait, close to Burgas Peninsula in the South Shetland Islands.

    1. It was an awesome experience – to see this pristine undulating landscape with just the wind whistling, the waves in a rhythmic hum, and the eyes pop at seeing these humongous mammals, humpback whales, effortlessly gliding through the icy waters, bobbing up and down, and if fortunate, to see them playfully heave their mighty mass out of the water, rotate and make a thunderous splash nonchalantly!
